Pen Mill Cottage is converted from a traditional stone barn and lies adjacent to the former farmyard which is now home to free range hens, horses, sheep and a mass of colourful flowers.
It is very spacious, yet cosy, with a large kitchen/diner which has a french door opening onto the sunny terrace.
Many guests find it hard to tear themselves away from the peaceful views up the hidden valley over ponds where deer, badgers and foxes roam.
The farm has been in the family for nearly 50 years and is farmed organically with hedges laid in the traditional style. At present we have horses, sheep and cattle - not to mention the free range chickens which wander everywhere - even the lane! Organic eggs available.
The village of Penselwood was a major city of Britain during the 8th century though this is hard to imagine as it is now a rural community with only the sound of animals to keep you awake at night.
